Description
This is the Limestone Quarry, and it produces Cement in Anno 1800. To begin with, it works just like any other mining building. This means you must place it directly on a Limestone deposit, which you’ll find at the base of mountains. Once built, the Limestone Quarry sits at the start of the Reinforced Concrete production chain.
In terms of speed, the quarry takes 30 seconds to produce one ton of Cement in Anno 1800. As a result, it creates two tons of Cement per minute, giving you a steady and reliable supply for your Concrete Factory.
What is produced
This is Cement in Anno 1800. It is produced at the Limestone Quarry, which works like a mining building. To begin with, you must place the quarry at the base of mountains where Limestone deposits are found. Once it’s running, the quarry turns Limestone into Cement for your construction needs. However, taking Cement on an expedition has no effect, so it’s only useful on your islands.

Improvements
In this section we will be looking at what improvements we can add to the Limestone quarry to improve its productivity and efficiency. When looking at most buildings in Anno 1800 we would look at the placement of the building. With the Limestone quarry needing to be placed on top of a Limestone deposit this will dictate where you can place it. So the first thing that we will look at is what can be added to the Trade union that can improve the Limestone quarry. Finally we will look at what improvements adding Electricity can add to Limestone quarry.
Trade Union
In this section, we’ll look at the items you can add to the Trade Union to improve the Limestone Quarry’s efficiency. To start with, Trade Union items can boost its productivity even though the quarry’s placement is fixed. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the best items you can use to strengthen its output.
These are the items that can effect the Limestone Quarry.
Electricity
When improving the Limestone Quarry, one of the best upgrades you can make is adding Electricity. To begin with, supplying Electricity gives the quarry an instant boost. In fact, Electricity doubles its output, giving you twice as much Cement from the same building. As a result, your Reinforced Concrete production chain becomes much more efficient.
Layouts
In this section, we’ll look at the layouts you can use for the Limestone Quarry. Since the quarry must be placed directly on a Limestone deposit, there is very little you can do to change or improve its placement. Because of this, the layouts you use will mainly focus on organising the surrounding area rather than adjusting the quarry itself.
Option 1
Here, we place a Limestone Quarry along with a Warehouse to keep things running smoothly. By adding the Warehouse nearby, the Cement can move into your inventory quickly, making the whole setup more efficient.
