The World Fair allows you to organise exhibitions that you can obtain Items, Golden Tickets and also Permits to construct special ornaments. It also boosts the island that is built on Attractiveness by 150. You will get more Attractiveness depending on what exhibitions you are holding. You can only build one World Fair per island and each one requires to have electricity to function. Like all other monuments in Anno 1800 it is built over several stages. Each stage will take time to complete and will also require specific items and also extra Workforce for each stage.
World Fair Construction
In this section we will look at the construction of the World Fair. The construction process is a complicated process and will a take a long time with many resources and people required. You will need to have Warehouse that connects directly to the World Fair construction site for the delivery of the resources required. if you do not have enough Workforce for the construction this does not mean that the construction will stop, it just means that it will slow down. Lets now take a look at the stages that you will have to do to build your Worlds Fair.

Exhibitions
Here we will look at what Exhibitions you can hold at your World Fair. Holding Exhibitions at your World Fair will encourage a huge number of the Worlds Innovators to descend onto your islands that are hosting the Exhibition. When having the Exhibitions they Innovators when they leave may leave donations behind for you. The donations left will depend on the steps taken to a successful Expedition.
Fields of Discovery
First you will have to decide on the type of Exhibition. Their are four types of Exhibitions you can choose from at the start of the planning stage. These are:
- Architectural Marvels – This option can give you unique ornaments
- Science and Innovation – This option can give you machines and inventions
- Archaeology and Ethnography – This option can give you relics and antiquities
- Botany – This option can give you flora, garden design and musical composition
Once you have done this you will then be divided up into 9 different categories and will depend on what you are trying to obtain from the Exhibition. Lets look at these now:
| Type of Exhibition | |||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier | Attractiveness | Architectural Marvels | Science and Innovation | Archeology and Ethnography | Botany |
| 1 | 0 | City Signage | Basic Tools | Curiosities | Invasive and Wild Plants |
| 2 | +100 | City Furniture | Basic Equipment | Everyday Materials | Various Trees |
| 3 | +200 | Plaza Design | Common Seeds | Buried Handicrafts | Aquaculture |
| 4 | +300 | Esplanade Design | Advanced Tools | Ancient Writings | Flowering Brushes |
| 5 | +400 | Fountain Architecture | Chemical Research | Rich Furnitures | Colorful Flowers |
| 6 | +500 | Antique Landscaping | High-End Equipment | Noble Funerary Materials | Lotuses |
| 7 | +600 | Refined Architecture | Powered Machines | Natural History | Exotic Plants |
| 8 | +700 | Marine Promenade | Agricultural Revolution | Mythical Artifacts | Huge and Strange-Shaped Plants |
| 9 | +800 | World’s Fair Annexe | Unique Inventions | Ancient Architecture | Mythical Plants |
Each of these options has their own set of rewards.
Size of Exhibitions
The size of the Exhibition will decide on which tier you can achieve. The bigger the exhibition the more Investors you will need to make it worthwhile putting on. We will now look at the the description for this.
| Modest | Large | Sumptuous | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unlock Condition | 5000 Invetsors | 7500 Investors | 10000 Investors |
| Running Cost | Credits $25000 | Credits $50000 | Credits $100000 |
| Preparation Time | 20 Minutes | 30 Minutes | 40 Minutes |
These are the values that you will need to work on. Lets now look at what tier are available at each size of Exhibition.
- Modest Exhibitions gives tiers 1 – 5
- Large Exhibitions gives tiers 3 – 7
- Sumptuous Exhibitions give tiers 5 – 9
Preparation Phase
Once you’ve selected the exhibition type and size, the preparation phase begins. At this stage, the event must be supplied with various luxury goods to keep the Investor audience comfortable and willing to spend money. If you have more Investors than the minimum requirement, the exhibition becomes easier to cater: the surplus reduces the amount of goods needed, up to a maximum reduction of 50% when you have more than double the required Investor population.
Each exhibition size randomly selects several luxury goods that must be delivered. Supplying these goods increases the temporary Attractiveness bonus of the Exhibit to match the tier associated with the chosen exhibition size.
Most importantly, delivering (or withholding) goods can raise or lower the final reward tier within the range unlocked by the exhibition size. The World’s Fair interface allows you to block specific goods from being supplied, which is useful if certain luxuries are in short supply or needed elsewhere in your city. Blocking goods is not required to select a lower‑tier reward — at the end of the exhibition, you may freely choose any reward tier that was unlocked.
Catering
Here is a list of goods that could be requested for the Exhibition. When looking at this table one type of each aspect will be selected for the lavish banquet that is held in the evening. One of good will be picked from each section.
