Description

This is the Coffee Roaster and it is used for the production of Coffee in Anno 1800. The Coffee Roaster is the final step in the Coffee production chain. The Coffee Roaster will require two tons of Coffee Beans every minute to produce two tons of Coffee. The Coffee beans will come form the Coffee plantation.


What is produced

This is Coffee in Anno 1800, and it is made from Coffee Beans grown on plantations in the New World. Coffee is a basic need for Engineers, Investors, Obreros, and Artistas.

At 100% supply, one Coffee Roaster can support 170 Obrero residences (up to 3,400 Obreros). It can also supply 42.5 Engineer residences (up to 1,700 Engineers) and 21.25 Investor residences (up to 1,062.5 Investors).

Finally, when taken on expeditions, Coffee provides 5 bonus Force points and 25 bonus Morale points for every 50 tons.

Improvements

In this section we will be looking at what improvements we can make to the Coffee Roaster. Firstly we will look at the placement of the Coffee Roaster to endure that it is placed so that it can function to the best of its abilities. We will then look at the Trade union which can give boosts via items to the Coffee Roaster. Finally we will look at what benefits it gets from supplying it with electricity.

Placement

In this section, we’ll look at the placement of the Coffee Roaster for the best results. First, the Coffee Roaster needs to be placed in the New World. Next, it should sit close to the Coffee Plantation and a Warehouse. This setup keeps deliveries fast and makes the whole Coffee production chain run more efficiently.

Here we can see that the Coffee Plantations lead directly into the Coffee Roaster and this then leads straight into the Warehouse and into your inventory.

Trade union

This is the Trade union. The Trade union is a building that you will add items to improve the productivity and efficiency. These items ca be got from numerous areas around the map. These include trading with NPC’s, quests and world events, Expeditions, Research institute, Combat loot and also the World fair. Lets take a look at these now.

Electricity

One of the best ways to improve the Coffee Roaster is to add Electricity. First, Electricity will double the Coffee Roaster’s output. However, you must also make sure the input is doubled so the building can keep up with the increased production.


Layouts

In this section, we’ll look at the layouts you can use for the Coffee Roaster. Layouts are an important part of building your Anno 1800 world, because they help keep your islands clean, organised, and efficient. When your layouts are planned well, your production chains run smoothly and stay balanced. Now, let’s take a look at these layouts.

Option 1

In this layout, we can see that the Coffee Roaster is supplied by two Coffee Plantations. First, the Coffee Beans move straight from each plantation directly into the Coffee Roaster. Then, once the Coffee is produced, it goes straight to the Warehouse for fast and efficient distribution.

This layout can support 170 Obrero residences, or up to 3,400 Obreros. Next, it can supply 42.5 Engineer residences, which equals up to 1,700 Engineers. Finally, it can also support 21.25 Investor residences, or up to 1,062.5 Investors.

Option 2

Here we can see that the output of the Coffee Roaster has doubled. This is a more complex layout and will supply double the amount of residences than Option 1. As we can see form the layout the Coffee Plantations, of which there are four, lead directly into the Coffee Roasters, of which their are two.

This provides a perfect Coffee production chain. We can also see that we have a Warehouse so that the Coffee can lead straight into your inventory. Their is also a Trade union added so that we can add items to it to improve productivity and efficiency.

This layout will provide 340 Obreros residences or up to 6800 Obreros. It could also supply 85 Engineers residences or up to 3400 Engineers. This layout could also supply 42.5 Investors residences or up to 1125 Investors.
