Description

The Heavy Weapons Factory is the building that produces Heavy Weapons in Anno 1800. It combines Steel from the Steel production chain and Dynamite from the Dynamite Factory to create this advanced military resource. In addition, the factory can only be built in the Old World, so choosing the right location matters. Once running, it produces one ton of Heavy Weapons per minute, giving you a steady supply for ships and defences.

What is produced

These are Heavy Weapons in Anno 1800. Heavy Weapons are a building material that is used for the production of Big Betty along with constructing military ships in the Steam Shipyard. Improvements

In this section we will look at what improvements we can add to the Heavy Weapons Factory to improve its productivity and efficiency. The first thing that we will look at is the placement of the Heavy Weapons Factory. Placement is one of the most important steps you can take to improve the Heavy Weapons Factory. The next step we can take is to look at what items can be placed into the Trade Union that can improve the production of Heavy Weapons in Anno 1800 . Finally we will look at what effect Electricity has to Heavy Weapons Factory.

Placement

In this section we will look at a very basic placement of the Heavy Weapons Factory. As the Heavy Weapons Factory requires complex ingredients it is imperative that we place the factory as efficiently as possible.

Here we can see a very basic placement of the Heavy Weapons Factory. As we can see here there is the Dynamite Factory along with a Furnace. These items can go directly into the Heavy Weapons Factory to produce Heavy Weapons in Anno 1800.

Trade Union

This is the Trade Union used to boost the Heavy Weapons Factory. To make the Trade Union useful, you need to add items to it. These items can be found in several places around the map. First, you can get them by trading with NPCs. Next, you may earn them from quests and world events. You can also find them on expeditions, along with a few other sources. Now, let’s take a look at which items work best for the Heavy Weapons Factory.

These are some of the items that you can use to boost the Heavy Weapons Factory.

Electricity

When boosting the productivity of factories one of the best improvements you can make is adding Electricity to it. When adding Electricity to the Heavy Weapons Factory this will double the output of the factory. You must remember that when doing this you will also need to double the input.

Layouts

In this section, we’ll look at a few layouts you can use for the Heavy Weapons Factory. Layouts are important in Anno 1800 because they help you design cities that are easy to copy and move around your map. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some layout options you can use for this factory.

Option 1

In this layout we can see that we have two Heavy Weapons Factories that have been paired with two Dynamite Factories and also a Furnace.

This layout will produce two tons of Advanced weapons every minute.

Option 2

In this layout we can see that it is a perfect shape for moving around your island and can be placed anywhere efficiently. We can see here that we are using two Furnaces, four Dynamite Factories and four Heavy Weapon Factories.

As we can see from this layout it will produce four tons of Advanced weapons every minute.

Option 3

With this layout we have the same number of production buildings that we have in Option 2. The main difference with this layout is that the Warehouse is placed in the middle of the layout. This will mean that the flow of goods from the Dynamite Factories and the Furnaces to the Heavy Weapons Factory and then finally onto the Warehouse is optimized.

This layout will produce the same amount of advanced weapons as the layout above. So this will produce four tons per minute.
