As you plan your layout, aim to keep the Marketplace close to the centre of your residential blocks. By doing this, you ensure that more houses fall within its range, which increases your overall population growth.
Option 1
In this layout, the Marketplace is placed next to a Pub, which makes sense because both buildings are key early‑game services your residents rely on.
Both buildings have a long side of 6 tiles, so they fit neatly inside standard residential blocks. This makes it easy to keep your services central and well‑organised.
By placing them together in the middle of your neighbourhood, you maximise their coverage and support steady population growth.
Option 2
This layout is very similar to the first one, but this time we include a Fire Station. Adding it reduces the chance of your residences burning down, which keeps your settlement safer and more stable.
