Description
A School in Anno 1800 is the first building that becomes available for education purposes. The School will satisfy the basic needs of both your Workers and Artisans. The School will need to be placed at regular intervals so that your population can get the benefits of it. To increase its range of influence it will be better to add paved roads as this adds a bigger area that it effects. When Workers residences are in full range of the School they will receive 2 inhabitants. When Artisans residences are in full range of the School they will receive 4 inhabitants. Being in the influence range of the School will not increase the income from these residences.
Improvements
Placement
When looking at the School in Anno 1800 the placement is all important. The School placement will be best placed in the centre of your buildings. Once you have your School placed you can look at other options to expand its range. This will mean that you can build the residences in a far greater range and they will still be covered by the School. To expand that range you can place down the paved roads and this will increase the range of the School. Here is a layout describing this.
