The Trade union in Anno 1800 is a building that will supply other buildings with benefits when it contains certain items. The trade union influence range is 15 tiles and any production buildings in this range can benefit from then items in the Trade union. You must remember that a building can only be serviced by one Trade union at a time.
Using the Trade union
The Trade union in Anno 1800 is a building that’s main aim is to provide boosts to other buildings. This is done by placing items into the slots that are available. The Trade union can hold up to three cards, this will increase up to four slots when used with the unions subsidies act. When placing the Trade union down you will need to ensure that the buildings that you wish it to cover are within a range of 15 tiles. Any buildings within this radius will be directly affected by the Trade union building.
The Trade union can be equipped with many different cards that can either benefit certain buildings or all buildings within its range. For buildings that are within its radius they can only be effected by one Trade union at a time. This means that you need to place your buildings carefully so that buildings are in range and that there is only one trade union supplying it.
To obtain the cards you will need to go on expeditions, you can also get them via quests and through trades. There are other ways to get Trade union items but these are the main ways until later in the game. When you get to the later game you can then use the research institute for more targeted crafting
