Passive trading
Passive trading is where a trader comes to your Trade post and trades with you. To allow passive trading to work you will first have to set it up. The first thing that you will need to do is to select your Trade post on your island and you will be faced with a screen where you can select the item for trading. Once you have selected the item a new menu will open up that will show a screen showing a menu with a slider on it. Move this slider to set the minimum amount of stock to hold on this island. You will also notice that there are four buttons on this screen for the type of trade to do.

So for example an expedition could be that you have to go and find the New World. For these expeditions you will have the chance to take items with you on them. Different items will give you different benefits when taking them. Work Clothes are one of those items that can be taken and will give you 20 bonus points to Medicine and 20 bonus points to Morale for every 50 tons taken.
How to make Work Clothes
Work Clothes are made in the Framework Knitters. The Framework Knitters does not require any special treatment and can be placed on any island. To supply the Framework Knitters you will require a Sheep Farm to supply the Wool.
