Improvements

In this section we will look at what improvements can be made to increase the productivity and efficiency of the Sewing Machine Factory. One of the most important things that you can do increase efficiency is to ensure that the transport links to and from the Sewing Machine Factory are optimised. That’s why the first thing that we will look at is the placement of the Sewing Machine Factory. The second thing that we need to look at is what we can add to the Trade Union to increase the productivity of the Sewing Machine Factory. Finally we will look at what adding electricity does to the Sewing Machine Factory.

Placement

Here we will look at the placement of the Sewing Machine Factory. When dealing with the placement of any production building it is important that you place both the buildings that supply it and also a Warehouse nearby where the finished product can go to. In this placement section we have placed a Warehouse next to the Sewing Machine Factory as goods can be transport directly to it and then from it when the Sewing Machines are produced.

When we add electricity to the Sewing Machine Factory it will double the output producing twice as many Sewing Machines in Anno 1800. You must remember that when you double the output you will also have to double the input of both wood and steel.

Layouts

In this section we will look at some of the layouts that can be used for the Sewing Machine Factory. When dealing with layouts for the Sewing Machine Factory it is important that it is dealt with efficiently as it is a complex production chain. This is the Steel production chain that in all likely hood will need to be placed a long way away from the Sewing Machine Factory.

Option 1

In this layout we will be placing down a Furnace that is the end building of the Steel production chain and also the Lumberjacks Hut that is at the the start of the Lumberjack Yard production chain. We will also place down a Warehouse for the easy integration into your inventory.

Simple layout of Sewing machine production

This is a layout that will produce two tons of Sewing Machines in Anno 1800 per minute. This layout will also give you two extra tons of wood every minute. This layout will supply 140 Artisans residences or up to 4200 Artisans. It could also supply 70 Engineer residences or up to 2800 Engineers. In the New World it will supply 160 Obreros residences or up to 3200 Obreros.

Option 2

In the second layout we will assume that the Steel production chain is located at a further distance from the Sewing Machine factory. So in this layout we will be utilising the Warehouse so that the Steel will be provided by the Warehouse. This Warehouse will also enable the Sewing Machines to enter your inventory quickly. So in this layout we will have two Sewing Machine Factory along with the Lumberjacks Hut and the Warehouse. This layout will also double the output of Sewing Machines in Anno 1800.

More complex layout of Sewing machines

With this layout we will be producing four tons of Sewing Machines per minute. This layout will supply 280 Artisans residences or up to 8400 Artisans. It could also supply 1400 Engineer residences or up to 5600 Engineers. In the New World it will supply 320 Obreros residences or up to 6400 Obreros.
