Ultimate Vineyard guide: Grapes in Anno 1800

This is the Vineyard in Anno 1800. It is used for the production of Grapes and will become available at the Investor level.

Description

The Vineyard is a production building in Anno 1800. The Vineyard it is used for the production of Grapes. The Vineyard sits at the start of the chain for producing Champagne in the Champagne production chain. The Vineyard will need to be placed on an island that has Grape Fertility and will need a large area for placement as it requires 128 fields to placed down. The Grapes that it produces are an essential item in the Champagne production chain. The Vineyard will take two minutes to produce 1 ton of Grapes or half a ton every minute.

Improvements

In this section we will look at what improvements we can add to the Vineyard that can improve its efficiency and productivity. Firstly we will look at the placement of the Vineyard to increase its overall productivity. The placement of buildings is key when dealing with improvements as this section will aim to lower the transport time of the item being produced. The next thing that we will look at what items can be added to the Trade union to improve the Vineyard.

Placement

Here we will look at the placement of the Vineyard. This is a key section as we will be attempting to ensure that the placement is correct so that we can cut down on the transportation of the Grapes. We will also look at layout for the Vineyard so that it is easy to move around the map.

This is a square layout for the Vineyard. This will enable you to cop and move the Vineyard around easily. As we can see their are 10 fields placed horizontally and also 7 fields down vertically from the Vineyard building. This will give you a nice square layout for easy moving around your map.

In this layout we can see that the layout is once again laid out in a rectangle. We can see that we have placed down two Vineyards with their fields attached and also a Warehouse so that the Grapes enter you inventory in an efficient manner.

Layouts

Here we will look at what layouts are available for the Vineyard. Layouts are an important part of Anno 1800. Having optimised layouts you will be able to get your items quickly into your inventory. Lets take a look at some layouts for the Vineyard now.

Option 1

As we can see from this layout we have two Vineyards along with a Warehouse so that the Grapes can enter your inventory quickly.

This layout will give you one ton of Grapes per minute.

Option 2

Here we can see that we have doubled up on the Vineyards. We have also added a Champagne Cellar to the layout so that the Grapes can be processed. This layout will not be production chain as their is no Glass production included.

This layout will produce two tons of Grapes per minute along with two tons of Champagne.

Option 3

As we can see here we have doubled the production of Grapes and Champagne. We have eight Vineyards along with two Champagne Cellars. We have also placed Warehouses close by to get the items into your inventory. For the full production chain you will need to have Glass go into the Champagne Cellar.

This layout will give you double the production values that you get from option 2. So you will produce four tons of Grapes and two tons of Champagne from this layout.
