These are Hops in Anno 1800. Hops are a Plant Product in Anno 1800. They are also an intermediate product in the Beer Production Chain. It is produced on a Hop Farm at the rate of 0.67 tons per minute. The Hop Farm requires Hop Fertility on the island that you are growing Hops on.
Trading Hops
In this section we will look at trading Hops in Anno 1800.

When we look at this table we can see that when a trader comes to your harbour and purchases Hops from you they will pay you $24 Credits per ton. On the other hand when a trader comes to your harbour and sells you Hops you will have to pay $60 Credits per ton.
How to set up trading
As we can see from the table above there are two options for trading Hops. These are both for passive trading. Lets take a look at these options now.
Passive trading
Passive trading is where a trader comes to your Trade post and trades with you. To allow passive trading to work you will first have to set it up. The first thing that you will need to do is to select your Trade post on your island and you will be faced with a screen where you can select the item for trading. Once you have selected the item a new menu will open up that will show a screen showing a menu with a slider on it. Move this slider to set the minimum amount of stock to hold on this island. You will also notice that there are four buttons on this screen for the type of trade to do.

These are the buttons that you will be faced with on the trade type menu. They are No Trade, Buy and Sell, Sell or Buy. You can select these depending on what you wish to do for trade at this island. Once you have set these up traders will then trade with your island.

Lets now look at what products that are made with Hops.
Beer
This is the Beer Production Chain in Anno 1800.
This is the layout for the Beer Production Chain in Anno 1800. As you can see the layout for this quite a complicated layout as you will need five farms that require two different type of fertility. So the first thing that we will need to do is to place down two Grain farms. You need to ensure that the island where you are placing these has the correct fertility. Once you have Grain this will then go to the Malthouse for the production of Malt. This Malt will then go to the two Breweries for the production of Beer. The next thing that you will need to do is to place down three Hop Farms for the production of Hops. You must ensure that the island that you are placing these Hop Farms on has the correct fertility. These Hops will then lead into the two Breweries and the production of Beer will begin. This layout will produce two tons of Beer per minute
