Description

This is the Coachmakers in Anno 1800. It is used for the production of Chassis. The Coachmakers sits at the start of the Cab Assembly Line production chain and requires both Wood from the Lumberjacks hut and Caoutchouc from the Caoutchouc plantation for the production of the Chassis. It will take the Coachmakers two minutes to produce one ton of chassis.

Improvements

In this section we will look at what improvements we can add to the Coachmakers. The first things that we will look at is the placement of the Coachmakers. Placement is key as the correct placement will enable both the items required to build the Chassis and also the Chassis themselves to be placed into your inventory. Next we will look at what items we can add to the Trade union to boost its productivity and efficiency. Finally we will look at what happens when we add Electricity.

Placement

Here we can see a simple placement layout for the Coachmakers. The Coachmakers requires two items for the production of Chassis. As we can see with this placement the Trading post will receive the Caoutchouc from the Caoutchouc plantation from the New World and the Wood from the Lumberjacks Hut. These items lead straight into the Coachmakers. Once the Chassis have been produced they will then go straight into the Warehouse and then into your inventory.

Trade union

Here we will look at what items we can add to the Trade union to improve its productivity and efficiency. These items can be found in many areas around the map. These include buying from NPC’s, they can also be got form the World Fair along with carrying out quests and looting ships after they have been destroyed. Lets take a look at these items now.

These are the items that influence the Coachmakers.

Electricity

When we add Electricity to the Coachmakers it will double the output of Chassis. You need to remember that when you do this you will also need to double the input.

Layouts

In this section we will look at some layouts for the Coachmakers. As the Coachmakers requires Caoutchouc which can only be got from the New World you will always need a Trading post for the delivery. Lets take a look at some of these layouts now.

Option 1

If we look at this layout you will notice that their is a huge amount of Coachmakers to accommodate the Lumberjacks hut. We can also see that we have a Trading post in the layout so that we can have the Caoutchouc delivered to the Coachmakers

This layout will produce four chassis per minute.

Option 2

In this layout we can see that it is the same as the layout above but we have added Trade unions so that you can items to it to improve the productivity and efficiency of the production chain.
