Description

This is the Light Bulb Factory, and it produces Light Bulbs in Anno 1800. The factory receives Filament from the Filament Factory and Glass from the Glassmakers. Once both materials arrive, they are combined to create Light Bulbs in Light Bulb production chain. In addition, the factory works at a steady pace, producing one ton of Light Bulbs per minute.

What is produced

This is Light Bulbs in Anno 1800. They are a basic need of both Engineers and Investors. They are also a lifestyle need of Artistas. One Light Bulb Factory will provide for 80 Engineer residences or up to 3200 Engineers. This could also supply 40 Investors residences or up to 2000 Investors. When taking Light Bulbs on expeditions they will give you 5 bonus points to Faith and 5 bonus points to Morale for every 50 tons taken.

Improvements

In this section we will be looking at what improvements we can add to the Light Bulb Factory. The first thing that we will look at is the placement of the Light Bulb Factory. Then we will look at what items can be added to the Trade Union to improve the functionality of the Light Bulb Factory. Finally we will look at what happens when we add Electricity to the mix.

Placement

One of the most important ways to improve any factory in Anno 1800 is through good placement. To begin with, placing buildings close together reduces the travel time between the materials the factory needs. In addition, it ensures there is a nearby spot for the finished Light Bulbs to go once they are produced. As a result, the whole production chain becomes faster, cleaner, and far more efficient.

This is not a production chain but illustrates what buildings are needed to produce Light Bulbs in Anno 1800. As we can see the Light Bulb Factory will take its items from the Filament Factory and also the Glassmakers. The finished product will then go into a Warehouse and finally into your inventory.

Trade Union

In this section, we’ll look at what you can add to the Trade Union to improve the Light Bulb Factory. To begin with, you can obtain Trade Union items from many places across your Anno 1800 world. Layouts

In this section, we’ll look at the different layouts you can use for the Light Bulb Factory. When planning layouts, it’s important to design them so they can be moved or copied to other areas of your island with minimal effort. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the layout options you can use to keep your production efficient and flexible.

Option 1

In this layout, we can see that we’ve placed four Light Bulb Factories, four Filament Factories, and two Glassmakers. In addition, a Warehouse sits at the centre of the layout. As a result, the finished Light Bulbs can move into your inventory quickly, keeping the entire production line running efficiently.

Simple layout for the Light Bulb Factory Anno 1800

This layout can support 320 Engineer residences, which equals up to 12,800 Engineers. In addition, it can supply 160 Investor residences, or up to 8,000 Investors. As a result, this setup provides strong coverage for both population tiers while keeping production efficient.

Option 2

In this layout, we use a very similar setup to Option 1. However, this time we’ve added a Trade Union so that all factories within the layout can benefit from its bonuses. As a result, the entire production block becomes more efficient while still keeping the familiar structure of the original design.
