These are Pigs in Anno 1800. Pigs are an animal product and can only be produced in the Old World. The Pig farm which is used for the production of Pigs becomes available at the Worker level.
Trading Pigs
In this section we will look at Trading Pigs in Anno 1800.

When we look at this table we can see that when a trader comes to your harbour and purchases Pigs from you they will pay you $8 Credits per ton. On the other hand when a trader comes to your harbour and sells you Pigs you will have to pay $20 Credits per ton.
How to set up trading
As we can see from the table above there are two options for trading Pigs. These are both for passive trading. Lets take a look at these options now.
Passive trading
Passive trading is where a trader comes to your Trade post and trades with you. To allow passive trading to work you will first have to set it up. The first thing that you will need to do is to select your Trade post on your island and you will be faced with a screen where you can select the item for trading. Once you have selected the item a new menu will open up that will show a screen showing a menu with a slider on it. Move this slider to set the minimum amount of stock to hold on this island. You will also notice that there are four buttons on this screen for the type of trade to do.

These are the buttons that you will be faced with on the trade type menu. They are No Trade, Buy and Sell, Sell or Buy. You can select these depending on what you wish to do for trade at this island. Once you have set these up traders will then trade with your island.
l load fifty tons of Steel Beams on to the ship whenever the ship arrives at High Clarence Hall. The ship will then move to Osthoven to unload. The ship will continue on this trade route until you cancel it.
Taking Pigs on Expeditions
Their are many items in Anno 1800 that can be taken on expeditions. When we take these items on expeditions they will give us certain benefits for that expedition. When we take pigs on expeditions they will grant us extra rations and no other benefit.
Products that are made with Pigs
Pigs are a core item that will be used for the production of a few items that are a needed in your Anno 1800 world. These are the items that you can produce from Pigs in Anno 1800.
Sausages
This is the Sausages Production Chain in Anno 1800.

These are Sausages in Anno 1800. They are a core ingredient at the Worker level of your Anno 1800 World. As you can see from the Tech Tree layout you can see that you will require one Pig Farm and also a Slaughterhouse for the production of Sausages. This layout will take 60 seconds to produce one ton of Sausages. This layout produces one ton of Sausages per minute.
Soap
This is the Soap Production Chain in Anno 1800.

This is Soap in Anno 1800. It is core item that becomes available at the Worker level. When we look at the Soap Tech Tree we can see that their are three different types of buildings that you require. As you can see you will need to place down two Pig Farms and also two Rendering Works. The Rendering Works will produce Tallow that will then go in to the Soap Factory. This layout will produce two tons of Soap per minute. This layout produces two tons of Soap per minute,
Advanced Weapons.
This is the Advanced Weapons Production Chain in Anno 1800.

These are Advanced Weapons in Anno 1800.Advanced Weapons are a construction material that is used in the production of other items. Advanced Weapons are produced at the Heavy Weapons Factory and these weapons can be used for the production of Big Betty and also ships that are produced in the Steam Shipyard. As you can see here this is a complex layout that Pigs only play a small part of it. As you can see we have the Pigs going to the Rendering Works for the production of Tallow this Tallow along with Saltpetre is then sent to the Dynamite Factory and the Dynamite is then sent to the Heavy Weapons Factory, On the other side of the layout we have Iron and Coal that goes for the production of Steel, this Steel is then sent to the Heavy Weapons Factory. The Heavy Weapons Factory will take one minute to produce on ton of Advanced Weapons. This layout produces four tons of of Advanced Weapons per minute,
