This is the Marquetry Workshop. It is used in the production of Wood Veneers in Anno 1800. It sits in the centre of the Cigar production chain, Gramophone production chain along with others. The Marquetry Workshop takes in Logs and converts them to Wood Veneers. It takes 60 seconds for to produce one ton of Wood Veneers.

Improvements

In this section we will look at what improvements we can do to the Marquetry Workshop to improve its productivity and efficiency. The first thing that we will look at is the placement of the Marquetry Workshop. The next thing we will do is look a what items we can add to a Trade union to improve the Marquetry Workshop. Finally we will look at what happens when we add Electricity.

Placement

In this section we will look at the placement of the Marquetry Workshop. It is key when placing buildings in Anno 1800 that we need to get right. Here we can see that the Lumberjacks hut leads into the four Marquetry Workshop’s and then into the Warehouse. Lets take a look at the placement now.

Here we can see that the Lumberjack hut is supplying the Marquetry Workshop at the rate of one log every fifteen seconds. This means that this layout will produce 4 Wood Veneers per minute.

Trade union

In this section we will look at what items we can add to the Trade union to improve its productivity and efficiency. You can obtain these items from many places around your Anno World. They can be obtained from going on expeditions, from quests, the World Fair along with third party traders. Lets look at these items now.

Layouts

In this section we will look at what layouts we can use for the Marquetry Workshop. Layouts are key when designing your islands as they will enable you to manage you resources much more effectively. Lets take a look at some of these layouts now.

Option 1

As we can see from the diagram below to get a layout that does waste any of the Wood that comes from the Lumberjack hut. So to process the number of tons of Wood from the Lumberjacks hut will require four Marquetry Workshops. We can also see that we have a Warehouse placed as well for the Wood Veneers to enter your inventory.

This layout will produce four tons of Wood Veneers every minute.
